Bill started HotPrintz from the basement of his house in 1992, after moving to Whangarei from Auckland?. Printing t-shirts was just a hobby back then – and something to make a bit of extra money for the family while he was looking for employment as a social worker. But it wasn’t long before HotPrintz grew large enough to keep Bill occupied full time, and it’s been growing ever since.
Bill reckons he’s at HotPrintz 24/7 – he’s “a bit like rust” he says – he never sleeps! But when he’s not busy running one of the country’s most successful screen printing companies, he enjoys fishing, field archery, DIY and sailing his catamaran. He’s also a keen golfer, and would like to get back into badminton since his son started playing the sport for Northland at a senior level.
